What to do during your stay.
It doesn't matter if you are energetic or like to take life at a slower pace - the choice is yours.
You can simply relax and read a good book on our lovely verandah or by the wood fire in the winter. We are putting our library of books together, which will shortly be available for all our guests.
For those wanting to get out and about, we are on the Waukivory Cycle Circuit, an 11 km flat bitumen route around the area that follows the eastern side of the Avon River floodplain. This short, pleasant ride is suitable for all ages and abilities. This ride features panoramic views across the township to the Bucketts Range.
If you are keen to bush walk, the Bucketts Mountains, which can be seen from here, are just a short drive away. A climb to the top will reward you with excellent views of the surrounding countryside. The Barrington Tops are also close by for more bush walking.
If you would prefer something a little easier, you can visit the nearby Mograni and Kia Ora Lookouts by car, which offer some spectacular views back towards Gloucester and the Bucketts.
Gloucester has a range of restaurants and cafes for you to visit, along with many country style shops which many of our visitors just love to browse.
